AI Agents and MCPs

Local marketing tools your AI agent can actually use

Synup MCP exposes 131 tools to Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, Codex, and ChatGPT. Create a location, respond to a review, run a grid rank report, draft a social post. Standard MCP transport with two modes and a single config file.

What you'd ship

Daily reputation agent

The agent pulls the previous 24 hours of reviews across every location, drafts responses in your brand voice using a system prompt you control, and queues them for a single approve-all action. Your reviewer skims a Notion doc once a day instead of switching between 14 Google profiles.

Weekly ranking analyst

This one runs grid-rank reports for the keywords each client cares about, flags the rankings that dropped against last week, and drafts the weekly client email with the specific cells that moved. The PM who used to do this on their weekend gets it back.

Listings cleanup agent

Most local-SEO teams batch duplicate cleanup into one weekly session. The agent catches duplicates as they appear and compares NAP fields to suggest which one to merge. Fewer weekdays spent on cleanups.

Franchise compliance agent

Brand-side teams reviewing every local-manager edit is a real workload at 200+ locations. The agent does the obvious classification: off-brand gets rejected, borderline goes to a human queue, on-brand goes through.

How it works

The MCP server lives at mcp-agent.synup.com. Configure your client of choice (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Codex, or ChatGPT desktop) with one of the patterns from the docs. Pass your API key in a header along with read or write mode. The agent now has tool access to all 131 endpoints in the Synup product. The MCP surface mirrors the dashboard one-to-one.

Customer scenario

A 35-person agency in Toronto manages 60 multi-location accounts. Their head of reputation used to spend half a day each week going through review responses with three account managers. They piloted a Claude Code setup with Synup MCP. The agent runs each morning. It reads through new reviews and drafts responses in the brand voice. By the time the head of reputation logs in, the batch is queued and ready to skim. The weekly review meeting became a 20-minute scan instead of a 4-hour session. Review response SLA improved from 9 days median to 1.4 days. The head of reputation has the rest of their week back.
